I ordered a suit and the Jacket fits great, but the pants are too wide/tight, can I just exchange this part of my item?

Most suits need minor alterations for the perfect fit, such as width or length adjustments. All suit pants allow for alterations of the width and a seamstress can help you achieve the perfect fit.
I unwrapped my item or tried it on, now it is not in its original packaging, can I still return it?
